Creativity as a spiritual Practice & the medicine of Bobinsana…
Creativity isn’t just something we use to make art. It’s how we think, feel, choose, imagine, and move through the world. It’s the force behind our ideas, our intuition, our direction, and our sense of meaning. Creativity is a spiritual state -a way of being connected to ourselves, our inner voice, and the unseen currents that guide us.
But somewhere along the way, many of us lose access to that state.
We grow up. We get conditioned. We get overwhelmed. We disconnect from our bodies. We stop listening to our intuition. We stop trusting our imagination. And slowly, our creativity, our life force, becomes buried under responsibility, stress, and old belief systems.
This is why creative block feels so heavy. It’s not a lack of talent. It’s not a lack of ideas. It’s not a lack of imagination.
From my personal experience a creative block is an energetic, emotional and spiritual block. A sign that something inside us is shut down or asking to be healed.
And this is where creativity becomes a spiritual practice.
Creativity as a State of Consciousness
When we’re in flow, we’re not “trying” to be creative , we’re accessing creativity. It’s a shift in consciousness where:
the mind quiets
the inner critic dissolves
intuition becomes louder
ideas move freely
the body feels open and alive
This state is deeply spiritual. It mirrors meditation, ceremony, trance, prayer, and deep presence. It’s the same state we enter in healing work, just expressed through colour, sound, movement, or ideas.
Creativity is not something we do. It’s something we enter.
Bobinsana: The Master Plant of Heart, Emotion, and Creative Flow
Bobinsana is a gentle but powerful Amazonian master plant known for working with the emotional body, intuition, dreams, and creative sensitivity. She’s often described as a plant that helps people “feel again” not in a dramatic way, but in a clear, honest, embodied way.
In my experience, Bobinsana supports creativity because she:
clears emotional stagnation
reconnects you with your heart
heightens intuitive perception
increases sensitivity to subtle energies
helps you access flow states more easily
brings clarity to ideas, direction, and purpose
Bobinsana doesn’t “give” creativity, she helps remove what blocks it.
She brings you back into your body, your truth, your emotional landscape, and your inner voice. And when those parts of you are awake, creativity naturally returns.
Creativity as Healing
When we create- whether through art, writing, movement, sound, or ideas, we’re not just expressing ourselves. We’re processing. We’re releasing. We’re transforming. We’re reorganising our inner world.
Creativity is one of the most natural forms of healing we have.
It helps us:
move emotion
access intuition
reconnect with our body
find direction
feel meaning
express what words can’t reach
This is why creativity feels spiritual. It’s a conversation between the self and the unseen.
Why Adults Lose Their Creativity
Most adults don’t lose creativity; they lose access to the states that allow creativity to flow.
Life pulls us into:
stress
overthinking
self‑criticism
fear of judgment
perfectionism
emotional shutdown
disconnection from intuition
Creativity requires openness, presence, and inner connection, states that adulthood often suppresses. Healing work, plant medicine, sound, and intuitive practices help reopen those pathways.
Returning to Creative Flow
Creativity comes back when we:
reconnect with our body
clear emotional and energetic blocks
listen to our intuition
slow down
enter presence
allow expression without judgment
This is why I created the Creative Awakening Ceremony , because creativity is not just about art. It’s about life. It’s about direction. It’s about remembering who you are.
Bobinsana, cacao, energy healing, sound, and intuitive art are simply the tools that help you return to that state.
Creativity is your natural rhythm. Flow is your natural state. And when you reconnect with yourself, creativity returns, effortlessly.
